So one day when one of the new Lts arrived I had a Master Sergeant take us up into T-tail of the C-17. the aircraft was having scheduled maintenance on it so we were lucky to have it inside a hanger well when we were sticking our heads out the top the Sergeant wanted to get someones attention on the ground just to make sure they didn't move any flight control surfaces while on top. He quickly did the wolf whistle with a screeching precision. I said to myself I am going to learn that. and about a month later I got it down good. Max always covers his hears when he sees me quickly making the okay sign and sticking it in my mouth.

I finally broke down and bought me a Brooks B-17 Saddle. Since I have purchased it Max has been wanting to ride his bike all day. Mom was saying the wide copper rivets will patina green very nice. They will definitely get a nice butt shine to them. the other picture is Max digging into a care package from Chieko, Max has a nice summer coat on doesn't he?
Soccer night
We had the option to watch the game on Tuesday on the internet or actually go and pay and watch it live. I am glad that we went to see the game live cause the Charleston Battery crushed the #2 team in a league above Charleston's league 3-1, brilliant! I was tired the rest of the week but it was worth it.

Our Belated Memorial Day Weekend Trip
I asked my Captain if I could move my 4 day weekend to the next weekend, saying it would be a good thing to have some supervision at work during the holiday break. He was sold. So we made plans, Haruka Max and I went all the way to Hiddenite North Carolina to dig for some emeralds and precious stones. then meet up with the Zanaros family down at Carowinds recreation park which lies right on the border of NC and SC the southern part is much better. It was lots of fun we stayed in a log cabin (great design if you were to have property out in Eastern WA ; ) we ate at the cabin every chance we could get. Max and Alissa rode almost every kid ride they had. He did alright when we took him on the kiddy roller coster, but you should have seen his face when we rode the Jr one. I asked if he like'd it he said "ya" then I asked him do you want to ride it again he said "NO!" Went back to the cabin for lunch then went to the pool on the northside of the park (it was alright) but the kids got to cool off and play. after that we took the kids back ate dinner and Eric and I ran back to ride the fast dropin gut renchin rides, when we thought we had enough time to ride the biggest one there was an announcement saying they were closing in 15min so we ran like teenagers all the way across the park to get one last ride in, I should have had that motivation when I took my PT test, Fun times.

Memoirs of a Mustache

Week one: Well it was a rough start we had a General come to our Squadron, I was in charge of leading the briefings that would come through our buildings. during a dry run the day before the visit our Commander and the Maintenance Operations Commander started talking ambiguously about hair regulations and its a unwritten rule that officers don't have one. Well I put two and two together and I asked the Commander directly. "Sir will there be a problem with my mustache for the General visit. If you would like I can shave it off for the visit." Well he asked me so is this for Mustache March and I said "Yes, the Lt's are growing for the month. So I said "Sir it won't be a problem if I were to shave, I will only be a day or two behind the others." So it was difficult to shave but I think that when the 31st comes around I will see victory and MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

The Max Update
Our Japanese Tansu
Yard of the Month awaits
So Haruka and I have been working on getting rid of all the weeds and unwanted plants in the front yard. we sprayed weed killer twice, and then raked and raked to pull up as much old and dead grass and weeds then we planted and fertilized. you can see the difference between the next door neighbors yard and ours but it will be thick luscious bermuda grass soon. Cheers

Getting swamped with work
It was nice to come home but work has picked up and I have less time to update the blog, till now, in bed. Throw away the shaver and shaving cream its time for Mustache March. Rule one you should have started from scratch, but if you needed a preemptive strike thats okay. Rule two complement every gentleman that his mustache looks fitting on him followed by Good day or Cheers!! Rule three no mustache enhancement like the use of hair(beard dyes) colouring. Rule four resist the urge to pet the mustache, only amateurs touch. Rule five who ever looks like The Old Man by the end will get a Williams(brand name) soap and brush to shave it off. Rule six its a all men affair sorry ladies your not invited....but I have heard of Hairy Leg May so you can payback then. May the men unite around the world for a cause only fitting for TOM SELLECK.
Good night
